St. Louis County's 2010 Project Homeless Connect Event:
On Thursday, October 22, 2010, Duluth held its 5th annual Project Homeless Connect event. The event was held at the Washington Center with shuttle service for volunteers, service providers and participants.
2010 Quick stats:
- 274 participants
- 40+ service providers
- 112 volunteers surveyed & assisted participants to navigate the services offered
- 90% of participants identified as unemployed
- 5 Households were connected with housing assistance on the day of the event

FUNDRAISER FOR PROJECT HOMELESS CONNECT:
The Senior Nursing Students at The College of St. Scholastica are organizing an event to raise money for Project Homeless Connect. Starting at 7pm on Friday, April 15th, the Moorish room doors at the Greysolon Plaza open to a silent auction that will close at 9pm sharp. Free appetizers will be served and a cash bar will be open all night. The band Doctor Salty will be rockin' & rollin" until midnight! This high energy band plays a large collection of classic and modern rock n roll. They are sure to keep you on your feet all night long! Please join us to support this most important community event!
GRAND OPENING DULUTH VETERANS PLACE:
The fifteen year dream will become reality with the grand opening of Duluth Veterans Place. Join us as we honor our veterans and thank those that made this project possible. We will have a brief welcome followed by tours of the transitional and permanent housing, as well as MACV's offices and the Tribute Wall courtyard. April 1, 2011 11:00am in the courtyard 5209 Ramsey Street ~ Duluth, MN. At 12:30 pm there will be a program and luncheon at the American Legion Post #71 - 5814 Grand Avenue.
